I have a PowerEdge 2950 with 2 500gb HDDs in raid zero. Both disks have some flashing amber and green lights going on on the front, and OpenManage server admin shows them both with "non-critical" icons for their status, it doesn't seem to give any more info than that.
Sometimes they go back to normal OK status, and the amber lights go away, but they always return.
I updated to the latest BIOS, and tried to update the firmware on the RAID PERC 5i controller but it already has the latest version. Is there anything else I can do? Is it possible to update firmware on the backplane? Or does it just look like 2 disks about to fail?
Also in the raid config (pre-Windows) it shows SMART status of both drives as OK.
