Since upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10 my Latitude E6400 has experienced application errors every few minutes, this last hour there have been 104 instances of this Event 1000 recorded in the Windows application log, as follows:

I have stopped all non-Windows services but simply cannot trace the Windows service causing this fault.
The svchost, exe process that it occurs in is running the following executables:
RuntimeBroker.exe
SearchUI.exe
WmiPrvSE.exe
HelpPane.exe
ApplicationFrameHostexe
MicrosoftEdge.exe
browser_broker.exe
SystemSettings.exe
WmiPrvSE.exe
ShellExperienceHost.exe
and when another WmiPrvSEexe is spawned the application fault occurs.
I can't find anything on the Web to hep me.
